2:45p - Genre Outlaw
One of my little quirks is an interest in songs covered into other genres, such as the Austin Lounge Lizards' bluegrass cover of Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage".

Today, I decided to make a playlist of those songs in my collection. I was surprised to see that it came to 84 songs, and 5.7 hours of music.

In some cases, I have trouble defining what the "original" genre is, though. For example, the first version of "Just a Gigolo" that I was familiar with was the David Lee Roth version (of which I do not have a copy). So the Village People version probably counts as trans-genre. But what about the Louis Armstrong version, which predates the David Lee Roth version and probably has a better claim to being "original"?
